Nina Beck serves as Counsel with Fair Elections Center. Prior to joining the Center, Nina had practiced for 11 years as a commercial litigator with a law firm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, focusing on white collar, financial services, antitrust, and other complex business litigation. Throughout her career, Nina has maintained an active pro bono practice, including representing tenants through Legal Action of Wisconsin’s Eviction Defense Project, an Afghan asylum seeker, and a prisoner in a Section 1983 conditions of confinement case. Nina has also volunteered as an election day poll observer for multiple election cycles.
Prior to starting her legal career, Nina worked for the Wisconsin Senate Sergeant-at Arms and then as a legislative aide in the Wisconsin State Assembly.
Nina earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, cum laude and Order of the Coif, and her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, in Political Science and Integrated Liberal Studies. Nina is admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin only, and is a member of the bar for the following courts: U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
