One section of the law requires that the State Board of Election remove a person’s registration if the office receives notice from a local or state jurisdiction that that person registered to vote outside of Kentucky. As long as the registration books aren’t already closed for an election, the person’s name has to be taken off the list within five days, Kentucky law says.
