Fair Elections Center is seeking a Virginia State Lead. The State Lead is a key member of the team. The State Lead is tasked with supporting and strengthening civic engagement efforts at Higher Education Institutions through relationship management, student engagement, and program coordination. They serve as supervisor to Democracy Fellows and coordinate with campus administration and faculty, helping students organize civic engagement programming such as voter registration, voter education, and voter turnout activities.
This role is focused on supporting civic engagement programming during the 2026 election cycle and assisting campuses with voter engagement initiatives through the end of the calendar year. The State Lead will report directly to a Regional Manager.
This is a temporary position expected to run through December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension based on organizational needs.
The position is a remote full-time temporary position expected to run through December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension based on organizational needs. Salary is $52,000/year with limited benefits including vacation and sick leave and cell phone and internet stipends.
