Spring 2025 National Internship

At Fair Elections Center’s Campus Vote Project (CVP), we work with universities, community colleges, faculty, administrators, students, and election officials to reduce barriers to voting. This spring, we are seeking paid, part-time interns to help us further our democratic engagement work across the country.

National Programming Intern:

  • Plan and execute civic engagement programming that will be presented to our student fellows across the country, as well as track program completion
  • Build modules in our learning management system, Moodle, that correspond with newly created civic engagement programming.
  • Brainstorm ways to uniquely engage students in legislative advocacy, grassroots organizing, civil rights, voting rights, and other related topics
  • Support data management via CRM and Docusign.

National Research Intern:

  • Lead the Student Voting Study Project to understand the motivators and barriers to student voting on college campuses.
  • Develop and analyze quantitative research questions around the success of the CVP Democracy Fellowship.
  • Support other ongoing research projects led by the Curriculum & Research Team.
  • Host and plan CVP Research Collective Meetings.
  • Use Qualtrics to conduct research.
  • Students with experience in quantitative data analysis are encouraged to apply.

All candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Google Drive. Keen organization skills and candidates that identify as strong self-starters are ideal for these positions

These are paid, part-time virtual positions and should expect to attend two synchronous meetings per week.

During the spring semester, interns will be expected to work 15 daytime hours/week from Monday, January 13th to Friday, May 9th. A stipend of $1,200 will be provided 45 days after completion of the spring semester. Most interns supervised typically serve more than one semester, so long as both parties feel the internship is a good fit.

The priority deadline to apply is Friday, January 3, 2025. However, candidates will be considered on a rolling basis, until the positions are filled. This is a full-time remote position, with a salary starting at $58,000 commensurate with experience. Fair Elections Center offers generous employer paid health, vision, and dental insurance, 3 weeks vacation, and a 403(B) retirement plan with employer contribution.
